Somasegar on the Visual C++ Libraries 10-10-2006

Earlier this week, DevDiv VP S.Somasegar answered a question about the Visual C++ libraries in his blog. I wanted to make sure Visual C++ Developer Center readers had a chance to see this: C++ Libraries
I recently got a chance to meet with a number of developers and some MVPs in my trip to the Far East. One of the questions that people asked me was related to Visual C++ and support for libraries in the .NET world. One of the key goals of Visual C++ 2005 has been a commitment to enable you to protect your existing assets as you move forward.... Read the whole thing for the list ...

Spaces 10-10-2006

The more I use MSN Spaces the more I like it. At some point in the future, I'll probably move my blog over there. Caterory level RSS is all it will take ;)  For now, it's just a place to play.

Yesterday, I added MSN Alerts  to my Spaces blog. You can read about it here. This is pretty cool, and I suppose that somebody who doesn't normally read blogs would find it useful. (Hi Mom!) Anyway, you should be able to figure out from the MSN Space Craft post that I link to how to add MSN Alerts to your blog, whether you're on Spaces or not. :)

Probably moving my blog to MSN Spaces... 10-10-2006

As I do like MSN Spaces so much, I'm in the process of testing it as my permanant blog home. This isn't easy because my current blog is consumed from a number of different Developer Centers on MSDN, and so I have to test some of this out to make sure it's going to work properly. If you have any opinion on this, please feel free to drop me a note at brianjo@microsoft.com. I haven't made any final decision on this yet, though I'm leaning toward using Spaces. Here's a link to the Spaces blog. http://spaces.msn.com/members/brianjo The new RSS feed is here. Because in the end, it's really...

Blog Moved to Spaces 13-6-2006

Updated my forwarding information.

My blog move is working out pretty well, so I'm going to stick with my move to Spaces for the most part. (I still might add an occasional entry here.) My bufferoverrun.net domain now redirects to spaces and I have an RSS redirect that should work also. This will make it easier for me to move this later if I need to. This is a link to the blog on Spaces: http://spaces.msn.com/brianjo
The better RSS feed actually goes through FeedBurner: http://feeds.feedburner.com/bufferoverrun

Here's a link to the new blog. bufferoverrun.net
