| 1. | | Envisioning blogging without er, throwing up - Captured: 10-1-2005 15:39:00 Next week I get to do yet another presentation with Robert Scoble, Blogger at Large. It's always a pleasure because Robert is so darn sunny in his personality and he's a natural presenter - he digs that evangelism thing and can wing it on notes taped to his sleeve. I am of course more terrified and methodical, especially when ( as with the Webcast we did together) the audience is people who do evangelism for a living and present all the time. I live and die by the Powerpoint. Oh and Advil, never... From: Betsy Aoki's WebLog |

| 14. | | 7710.Adventures - Captured: 9-2-2005 19:13:44 I've been trying to get a screen protector for my 7710 but couldn't find any. *Ya know, those transparent film that sticks on the screen*. I didn't manage to check around the shops in Sunway Pyramid because of the power failure when I was there. I went to MINES shopping mall yesterday to try my luck.
The guy in the PDA store went *Gag-ag* when he saw my 7710 and he pointed me to the phone stalls. A lady in the phone stall was trying to get my attention on the phones and ... From: Firedancer.Unleashed! |

| 15. | | U2 show in Brussels sold out fast. Too fast for most of us. - Captured: 1-2-2005 0:43:00 Well, it's typical I guess. Everytime U2 tours their show sell out mega fast. And since the rise of eBay we meet a new problem: some scum individuals buy tickets to sell them immediately on eBay for a doubled, tripled or even insaner price!
I mean, the tickets got sold on saturdaymorning (in 4 hours, go figure...) and by noon, the first were already available on eBay.be. I'm getting sick and disgusted by these 'fans' who suddenly realize they can't join the show...and making hundreds of Euro's ... From: VB & .NET Blogs @ vbCity.com |

| 16. | | Twerps may be a day or two late - Captured: 31-1-2005 22:57:00 This months Twerps Peerage might be a little bit late on account of me forgetting to do it. I have only one piece of inspiration at the moment so unless I get my creative juices flowing in the next 30 minutes it's going to be late. Sorry Twerps fans (are there any out there?). | 17. | | Credit Card Fraud II - Captured: 26-1-2005 16:41:00 Nothing to do with the film of the same name (if there is one). This is a continuation of my previous post Credit Card Fraud. Well we have some small progress. I have contacted by credit card company to tell them I am disputing the transaction even though the signature appears to be mine as either it has been forged or it has been obtained using disception. They are sending out a form to Sri Lanka for me to sign and say it will be passed onto the fraud department. They appear to the usual 10 da... From: VB & .NET Blogs @ vbCity.com |

| 18. | | EEJs first 1-star review - Captured: 9-2-2005 19:15:05 ... and the author of the review, Don R. Hanson II, it's a legitimate beef:
I feel kind of lonely here; everyone else seemed to love this book. Looking at the table of contents, I was very excited when I started reading the book. However, while reading it cover to cover I slowly became more and more dis-illusioned with it.
The book is divided up into a number of recommendations, called items, in a manor similar to Effective C++ and Practical Java. The problem is that most of the items app... From: The Mountain of Worthless Information |

| 21. | | Video Company Sues Fans Who Make Skins - Captured: 10-2-2005 11:24:44 It's getting really depressing seeing just how clueless some companies are these days. The latest ridiculously bad decision by a company is video game shop Tecmo for suing everyone involved in an online forum that made skins for Tecmo games. This was, basically, a group of big fans of Tecmo's games who bought the games and then figured out ways to modify the thing they had bought to change the appearance within their own game for their own enjoyment. They weren't profiting off of this. They ... From: Techdirt |

| 22. | | MPAA Gets Quick Win Against BitTorrent Site - Captured: 11-2-2005 3:25:04 The MPAA started going after BitTorrent sites recently, and many of them quickly shut down. One of them, LokiTorrent decided to fight back... and apparently that didn't work so well. A judge very quickly handed over LokiTorrent's logs to the MPAA, and from the sound of it, gave them control over the website, which now has a gloating message from the MPAA who seem to want to track down each and every person who used LokiTorrent and mock them publicly (while shaking out their wallets as well). ... | 25. | | Geeky Stuff…Onfolio and Technorati - Captured: 13-2-2005 21:08:35 I am continuing to work with the new Onfolio 2.0 beta. And I am still very impressed by the work that has been done. The Onfolio team has set up a weblog, the Onfolio Group Blog, over on Typepad for product fans to post personal experiences etc about the product, a pretty cool concept. I have posted a couple of times, sure I will again. In one of my posts over there I talked a bit about using Onfolio to create portal like webpages. I create a sample page...
