| 1. | | Getting out of town for new years - Captured: 4-1-2005 18:46:19
Pam and I took a trip to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island for New Years. While
a bit cold, we had a nice time; a good dinner, time in a Jacuzzi, breakfast served
at our room (at the Tucker House), buying some artwork and seeing the island. We also
found a book that is perfect for our trips: a directory of weekend trips detailing
what to see when, where to eat and place to sleep.
On the 2nd, we had Misha, Rachael and Ben over for a salmon dinner. I used... From: Doubt's Log |

| 3. | | Marketing Eye for the Dev Guy - Captured: 25-1-2005 18:13:00 Ok, I'm taking a break from blogging about Gotdotnet today to talk about the idea for a new cable show that sprang upon me like a panther on a protein jag. It was inspired by Microsoft.com's very own snazzy lead product manager, Dave Morehouse (Microsoft.com communities team). I have to tell you that Dave is a man of substance, suave haircuts, and snazzy shirts, but it's his documentation that always makes me feel unkempt and well, like my specs just don't wash behind their ears. Every time I g... From: Betsy Aoki's WebLog |

| 4. | | From VAX to Windows - Captured: 19-1-2005 17:29:50
When I first got involved with Microsoft
it was around 1990 or ’91. The world of the time was dominated by IBM, with
DEC a close second. If you wanted to network PCs you used Novell or Banyan. All PC
programs were DOS programs. “Windows” was just one of many graphical libraries
being used by software to handle drawing on the screen. And if you wanted to do real
work you used a mainframe or minicomputer.
At the time, M... From: Rockford Lhotka |

| 5. | | The baddies are getting bolder - Captured: 3-2-2005 4:35:02
This is from Rick's LJ: Thought it
merited a little more attention. Because well...obviously SOME people in the
world are starting to think that it's 1955 again.
You couldn't make up shit like this. Even
if you tried.
I just got home from work. Ten minutes ago, on 35W heading south,
I passed a great big white pickup truck. In the back window of the cab were two stickers.
The one on the passenger side proudly stated "Sportsmen For B... From: Anomalous Data |

| 6. | | George Soros...leftist billionaire commie hater whos destroying America...one 527 at a time. - Captured: 1-2-2005 6:50:21
George Soros is a Billionaire investment
capitalist who came to the attention of millions of Americans for the first time with
his 527 organization MoveOn.Org. From
where I’m sitting, George seems like kind of a nut-job and an egomaniac…but
then anyone who comes up with his own civil philosophy, and then spends billions of
dollars promoting it around the world would have to be…wouldn’t he? And
frankly, he’s the egomaniacal nu... From: Anomalous Data |

Just
so everyone knows, LOVE Claudia Black. Hey,

Girl’s night out last night. I
went out with my friends Sue and Denise. I
was DD. We
went to O’Donovan’s Pub in
Minneapolis
. This is where we go to watch rugby. When
there is no rugby, we drink. Guiness. No
cute guys were around for the single chicks in the group to flirt with. For
some reason, someone threw a quarter at us as we were getting up to leave the table. Freaks.&... From: Anomalous Data |
